As a co-founder of Pixylate, a nascent startup, I found myself grappling with the conundrum of aligning our thoughts and efforts towards a single, coherent vision. My remit was to pen a blog about our company, but my mind was plagued by writer’s block, unable to conjure ideas that would truly convey our vision to our audience.

One night, after an intense discourse with my business partner, I resolved to solicit the perspectives of my fellow partners through a series of questions. The following is a narrative of our Q&A session, recounted in a third-person perspective for anonymity.

“What are our strengths?” I queried.

Without hesitation, they responded that our greatest strength is our acumen in comprehending the needs of our customers and devising solutions to their predicaments. We firmly believe that nothing is insurmountable and that we will always be there to support our customers through thick and thin.

“What are your expectations from the business?” I probed further.

They articulated their aspirations to create value for the people we interact with, to effect a meaningful impact on their lives, and to bequeath a legacy that will be indelibly etched in memory long after our tenure.

“Is this a long-term endeavour?” I probed.

They concurred that it transcends us as individuals and that even if the three of us were no longer involved, the principles and values that we impart to those associated with us will endure, and our goal will be accomplished through the positive impact that Pixylate has on people’s lives.

“What are your expectations from one another on a personal and organizational level?” I inquired.

They expressed that they expect open communication, a fervour for excellence, and mutual support and encouragement. They aspire to cultivate a culture within our organization where every employee, colleague, and partner works in harmony towards a common objective.

“Are we in sync or alignment with each other?” I asked.

In unison, they exclaimed, “Let’s skip this one.” It was palpable that we were all on the same wavelength, and that our goals and values were congruent.

With this newfound perspective, I was able to craft a blog that truly conveyed our vision for Pixylate. We believe that through our ability to ideate, realize and Pixylate, we can bring value to our customers and effect a positive impact on the world.
